Sometimes, things just won’t seem to go right. We mess up, but instead of learning from our mistakes, we mess up again!
I remember this happening tons of time in my childhood. On Christmas Eve one year, my dad made his famous pizza steak. He slaved in the kitchen for hours, and was so proud when he presented the steak to the table. We dug in, and I reached for the salad dressing; I always ate the salad first, and I wanted to get it over with. Mistaking the pour bottle for a squeeze bottle, I squeezed the entire bottle of salad dressing on everyone’s dishes!
My dad was the angriest I had ever seen him, his eyes lighting up with rage. We cleaned up the mess, and ate what we could.
I thought I had learned my lesson, but later at dessert I did the exact same thing with the chocolate sauce on top of my ice cream.
Needless to say, I was sent to my room and wasn’t allowed to finish dessert. My dad eventually got over the incident, but he still jokes about it with me to this day.
When I saw this video, I couldn’t help but laugh and remember my “double fail” that night. Sometimes it seems like we will never learn!
